Tungsten Disulfide (WS2) is applied to Bolt Carrier Groups, which provides lubricity and ease of maintenance.
WS2 was developed by NASA and is one of the most lubricous substances in the world.
WS2 has a lower friction coefficient than any other bolt carrier group coating on the market. This in turn allows for increased reliability as well as an easy to clean bolt.
The application impinges WS2 into the grain of the steel to provide an extremely durable coating.
